SUBJECT: Request to Come and
Dance
The Presbyterian Communities of Columbia is holding
a "beach party" at their nursing home located at 700 DaVega Drive
Lexington, SC on Thursday August 5, 2010 from 7:00pm til 9:00pm and has
asked for the involvement of our Club members to come and dance. They are
also asking that while we're there, we dance with some of their
clients who are able to dance.
The Presbyterian Communities Nursing Home will
provide soft drinks and light refreshments for us. More details are on the
enclosed flyer. I have prevailed on Marie Kiesel to be the Club's point of
contact; and I am asking for 8-12 volunteers to join Jane and myself at
the "beach party". If you can spare a couple of hours on Thursday evening
August 5th, please call/email Marie to let her know that you'll be there.
That way she can coordinate directly with the Presbyterian Communities
Life Enrichment Coordinator, Rebecca Richardson.
I think that this is a very worthy endeavor; and it
falls completely in with our Club spirit of community involvement. Please
plan on joining us for a couple of hours to help enrich the lives of some
people who already are where many of us will be very soon.
